2018 Halloween GENERATION GEMS at PopGems Academy
Fundraising for St Christopher's Hospice
Story
Every year at PopGems Academy we do as much as we can to support St Christopher's Hospice.
So far in 2018 we have raised £454 from our show, and it's almost time for our annual Generation Gems challenge!
In 2015 at PopGems Academy, we decided to do something rather fun and exciting called 'THE GENERATION GEMS CHALLENGE' where our students brought a sponsored family member to class to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice.
For the past 3 years it’s been a HUGE success and we’ve raised over £5000 for this very special place.
This year our theme is HALLOWEEN! Anything goes!
All classes on Tuesday 30th Oct, Wednesday 31st & Saturday 3rd Nov are invited to dress up and bring an adult (from any generation) to join in for the day! These are the first classes back after half term.
Fancy dress (and taking part in general) is optional but there will be prizes for the best dressed and the adult & child team who raise the most. It doesn’t have to be spooky if we go by the American rules. (Both students and their adults are allowed to wear fancy dress if they like)
Depending on the individual situation, you could be sponsoring the adult to join in OR sponsoring the student to ALLOW them to join in!
RULES:
* Adult & child teams are required to raise a minimum of £5 per 30/40/45min class, and £10 for the 2hr Saturday Performing Arts session.
** Students that collect any cash sponsors must upload these directly to the JustGiving page themselves. If friends and family would prefer to add their money to the page themselves- please don't forget to leave the name of who you are sponsoring so that this can be added to their total.
* The student who raises the most money will receive a big sweet filled TROPHY!
** There will also be prizes for THE BEST DRESSED!
Classes invited to take part:
TUESDAY 30th Oct: Mini Movers Street, Street Dance1 & 2, Boys Street Dance, Musical Theatre 1 & 2.
WEDNESDAY 31st Oct: Pop Tots (both classes)
SATURDAY 3rd November: Minigems1, Minigems2, Performing Arts Groups A, B & C.

This is an extremely worthy local charity, which is very close to many of our hearts at PopGems Academy. Any amount of sponsors that you can collect would be greatly appreciated so we hope lots of you will join us to make this as successful as previous years.
