Dear friends,
On Sunday the 13th of April I am going to run the London Marathon. Running is a kind of lonely sport, something often done for one self. But not this time. This time I am also going to do it, to raise money for a great charity supporting children with brain tumours. The charity is called Anna's Hope and is run (literally) by my good friend and collegue Rob Hughes and his wife Carole.
Anna, the daughter of Rob and Carole, was a wonderful little girl diagnosed with a brain tumour 3 years ago. She went through a 7 hour surgery and spent every other week in hospital for 15 months. Sadly she lost the battle at the age of just 3 years and 8 months - like so many other young children diagnosed with brain tumours. Rob and Carole consulted doctors and scientists how to devote their time and energy to improve the chances of survival for the future and to support families. They have set up Anna's Hope and knowing Rob very well, I can assure that not a single penny will be wasted in this charity.
I hope you will click on the link below and support annashope and help improving the lives of young children and their families. I thank you in advance and will send you a kind thought when breaking through the wall somewhere near the finishing line (hopefully).
