Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Klinefelter's Syndrome is a condition that affects one in 650 males and is the most common genetic variation, however 75% of those with the condition do not know they have it!

Imagine if you had low or zero testosterone; you would have no energy, you would lack motivation and strength, your self-esteem would be low and with poor communication and social networking skills, you would be shy - even introverted. You would suffer from a short span of attention; have poor memory being unable to recall recent conversation or instructions. Not surprisingly others may well have seen you as lazy, stupid and indolent.

That is the difference a lack of testosterone makes and is the reality of life for many men with Klinefelter's Syndrome because their bodies do not produce it.

Early diagnosis can mean that a boy or teenager can with treatment develop like a non-KS male in terms of bone, muscle, hair growth, and behaviour. Their quality of life can be vastly improved.

£240 will pay for one additional helpline - a lifesaver to those newly diagnosed with KS or even those who need to hear a friendly voice to reassure them they are not alone and help is available.

£480 will enable us to hold a local meeting where those with KS can meet others with KS, exchange ideas and discuss their concerns with a medical professional.

£1,200 means the KSA will be able to subsidise its Annual Conference enabling a wider section of those with KS to attend and listen to presentations by Endocrine Consultants and other health and social welfare professionals.

£2,400 will enable the KSA to offer substantial savings on its Activity Weekends where young and old can learn to boost their confidence.

£4,800 will pay for updates and reprinting of our Adult Guide to KS, a valuable source of information.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to donate -  Klinefelter's Syndrome Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please donate now!

Cheers
