Everything about National Children's Orchestra is great! I'm fortunate to be in the Under 13 Orchestra this year and to be given a bursary support to attend the courses. I haven't been playing for long (just under 3 years) so I was SO excited and surprised to hear when I was successful at the auditions in October. Besides playing some challenging and fun music (we're playing Shostakovich Symphony No 5 at the summer concert and I've loved practising the purple patches for it!), I've also made some really great friends on the course. It has given me a fantastic opportunity, so I think that other children who are musically talented should also be given this.

Please help me in raising money for this excellent cause.  

18th July 2009: BUSKING IN SOUTHWELL

Today, I went busking with my friend Caroline (from U12 NCO) in Southwell town centre. We didn't have a lot of time to practise together, but we played duets for around 2 hours in the afternoon, and with the help of many generous people of Southwell, we raised around £54.00 for the NCO in the short period of time.
