This page has been set up with an aim to help the incredible work that Vision Rescue is doing in India. This year we have set the target of raising £10,000 by November 2009, when a group of us will be travelling to India to visit the project and deliver the £10,000 to them. Any contribution matters and we really appreciate your support!
Biju Thampi and a team of volunteers operate this project out of a bus which travels to different areas every day of the week, offering the children with food and an educational programme. For many children the food provided by Vision Rescue is the only meal they will eat for a day.
Vision Rescue aims to change their perspective of live with the view of empowering them to break out of this generational poverty.
Vision Rescue is also on a mission to release the victims of sex trafficking and help young girls in danger of being forced into prostitution or sexual abuse. - On the streets of Mumbai, the most populated city in India, around 300,000 children are homeless. Up to 80 % of the homeless girls will be sexually abused before they turn 13.
