As one of the UK's oldest Environmental Protection charities, it has been protecting the planet for over 100 years, bringing together organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors to promote a balanced and innovative approach to solving environmental problems. It is active and influential across three policy areas; air quality and climate change, land and noise pollution.
The Kent and Medway Walking Bus group supports parents and communities through the development of Walking Buses to schools throughout the whole of Kent. It provides the necessary safety equipment and organises fun events for Walking Bus families. It also arranges Big Quizzes, and fundraising abseils and zipwire events.

RoSPA’s mission is to “save lives and reduce injuries”, by researching, educating and informing to help to prevent accidents. Although most accidents are preventable, they can happen anywhere, 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-week. RoSPA concentrates its expertise in the following areas: at work, at leisure, on the road and in the home.
Since 1988 Send a Cow has given cows and other livestock to hundreds of poor African farmers - mainly women, orphans and disabled people. The animals provide milk and incomes, and their manure increases crop yields, combating poverty and malnutrition. Send a Cow also provides training and low-cost veterinary services.
Sustrans works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects. Sustrans' flagship project is the National Cycle Network, creating 10,000 miles of routes throughout the UK. Sustrans' work relies on the generous donations and regular gifts of 40,000 Supporters, and the support of charitable trusts, companies, the National Lottery and local authority programmes.
