Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in support of The Brooke.

My story begins in Cairo. I lived there for a year in the 90's and I saw first hand the lives of a working donkeys and mules, and the use of horses and ponies in the tourist industry.

It is a hard life and many owners do not have the funds or skill to take care of their animals. This is where The Brooke makes a difference in teaching and assisting those using working animals to provide the best care for them.

There are of course those owners who do not care for the welfare of their animals and once they have outlived their monetary use they are disgarded.

On one of my rides in the desert we came across a horse abandoned in the hot sun after he had collapsed from heat exhaustion. He was just left their to die slowly. Fortunately our guide knew of The Brooke and we contacted them and they came and ended this poor animal's suffering with dignity.

I will never forget this and I always do my best to support The Brooke.

I hope to use this web page as a means to help raise funds for their worthy cause throughout the year so that The Brooke can continue to make a difference.
