Giraffe Conservation Foundation is launching today a targeted campaign to support de-snaring programmes of giraffe. Simply put, without your financial support giraffe can die a slow and agonizing death.

Snaring is a very ancient method of hunting - these traps are made of crude metal wires. These cruel devices are non-selective and cause the slow and agonizing death of a giraffe as the noose tightens and cuts deeper and deeper into a limb or sometimes severing it entirely.

I am raising funds so that we can fund programmes on the ground to combat snaring, help rescue giraffe and help them recover. It can cost several hundred Dollars/Pounds/Euros to rescue an animal - money well spent in my opinion.
