Charity: Help for Heroes
John, a father of one, was cruelly taken from us on 9th July 2009 - two days before his 28th birthday - doing what he loved, serving with Princess of Wales Company, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards. Anyone who knew John, would know that it is really all he ever talked about. He was described by his mother Carol as "a soldier through and through". Having also previously served in Kosovo and Iraq. He was born to be a soldier!
Johns Facebook Profile is testament to just how well liked, loved and popular he was, and I feel so honoured to be able to call this hero, a friend.
I hope that those who know John, and those who don't, donate to this worthy cause in his memory. I know that he would want us to be helping his fellow soldiers when they are in need.
Any donation would be greatly received, even if it just be 50p or £1. If all Johns Facebook friends gave just £1, we would be just shy of £600!!!
