My story

India for Africa

I've been to India for my motorcycle trip and it was absolutely fantastic. The places, the people, the sounds and smells. Amazing. I only got a sore arse on the very last day from the hours in the saddle. The Enfield was actually comfier than my own bike at home.

I've managed to exceed my target, as you can see from this page but don't let that stop you adding your own donation. The work Riders For Health do in Africa is second to none. Please check out their website: www.riders.org

The tour was done through www.blazingtrailstours.com - a cracking bunch of people who looked after me every step of the way - have a look on their website if you want to see what it's all about.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me:

Riders for Health gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

What your money can do:
Every gift to Riders, no matter what the size, makes a big difference to the people/riders in Africa. So no donation is too small

£1 could buy a spark plug to keep a motorcycle engine running.
£15 could provide 40 families with a year of health care visits.
£25 could help train one health worker in essential bike maintenance.
£50 could help provide replacement parts and servicing for a year.
£250 could provide a community health worker with the protective clothing they need to make sure they are safe on the road.
£350 could buy tools for an outreach technician so that they can provide regular maintenance to health workers' vehicles.
£1,000 could provide the running costs to keep a health worker on the road for one year.
£1,600 could provide a workshop with a tool-chest complete with appropriate tools, enabling technicians to carry out the regular servicing that is central to Riders' programmes.

Please donate - thanks.

Good luck Stephen. Cheers from the States! Donation by Sherrie Thai/ Shaireproductions.com 11/07/09
