My story

OK so I am going to try and lead the London Marathon for as long as I can - yes it was a drunken bet but its for a good cause -  some close friend's son called Christian was diagnosed with a very rare renal Cancer at the age  of 18 months.

Over the last couple of years he has battled the Cancer twice, undergone 9 months of Chemotherapy, various operations (including a five hour op to remove the original tumour and a kidney) and months of radiotherapy. To read the full story please look through : www.christianblandford.com . Fortunately Christian has been in remission since September 2007.

The Christian Blandford Fund sets out to make the experience of undergoing intensive therapy more comfortable for both Children and their parents and is currently working exclusively with Christian's local hospital; St George's Tooting.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St George's Hospital Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now - yes the run will be fun but its for a great cause.  Many thanks for your support.

Rob
