Hello,
So its all over, yesterday I completed the last flora London Marathon. I was originally aiming to beat my personal best of 3hrs 50 mins. As most of you know I wasn't able to run for 3 weeks leading up to the run due to bad shin splints. I had doubts as to whether I'd even be able to run.
Yesterday was a massive mental challenge as my leg caused me pain from about mile 8-9. The first half I made it through in a pretty good time, but the second half was alot slower due to the shin splints. I finally finished in about 4hrs 30mins. I am pleased to have finished depsite being injured and really appreciate the support from you all. The sponsorship kept me going knowing that you had all supported me and action for blind people.
ITS NOT TOO LATE, if you haven't sponsored me yet please still help me reach my new increased fundraising target.
I ran in support of Action for Blind People. As I think you all know I work as an Optometrist so on a day to day basis encounter patients with visual imparement. Action helps to support these individuals to maintain an improved quality of life. As you can see I'm aiming to raise £1800 but every penny and pound count towards this.... it all adds up. Please sponsor me whatever you can.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action for Blind People gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Go on its all for a great charity.
Thanks loads in advance!
