Hi everybody,

Rachel and I are climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in September 2009. This is the worlds biggest freestanding mountain, and one of the largest volcanoes... our challenge is to reach its summit! To be able to do so, we have to raise £3650... EACH! So on this site we will keep you posted about other fundraising activities we are doing, along with facebook.

Why Bowel Cancer UK...

My grandma died of bowel cancer five years ago. She was a very active and healthy woman, but unfortunately it was not identified until the later stages.

Bowel Cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK, affecting both men and women. The sad thing is that it can be very treatable in the early stages, but due to lack of awareness and embarressment, the symptoms aren't always identified.

Bowel Cancer UK aims to save lives by raising awareness of bowel cancer, campaigning for best treatment and care and providing practical support and advice.

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to say a massive thankyou to everybody who has donated so far, it is really appreciated. We are busy doing collections in London (potentially dressed as teletubbies?!!?) as well as some events, so there will be some dodgy photos soon to come, I will post a link to enable you to all point and laugh!

Update 31/5/09

Hello again,

Another quick update on our fundraising activities...

Teletubbies were let loose two saturdays in a row... first in Tottenham Court Road then in Paddington. The costumes were a winner and we found ourselves becoming a bit of a tourist attraction with people taking our pictures! Over the two days, with a bit of help from the lovely Erin, we managed to raise £1003.48, which was amazing!
