In September 2001 The Prince's Trust helped me to start up my company edgeofmyseat.com. They supported me financially with a small grant and loan and, perhaps more importantly, gave me the support of knowing there were other people who believed that I could start a successful company and that everything would be ok for my daughter and I.

I'm not much of a runner so I'm using the 10k run as a goal to improve my own fitness and also I hope to raise funds so that the Trust can help other young people get started with their own businesses. My £500 target is the amount of grant that was given to me by the Trust in 2001, so it would be nice to be able to raise that amount!
