The Motability Scheme helps 650,000 disabled people in the UK by leasing them a suitable and affordable car, powered wheelchair or scooter. Motability, as a charity helps around 8,000 Scheme customers each year who cannot afford the vehicles, adaptations or driving lessons they need.

Story

We will be taking part in a charity abseil down Peel Tower on Saturday 3rd March 2012 on behalf of national disability charity Motability. Motability provides help for disabled people in three different ways, they help with essential adaptations to vehicles, provide financial help towards the cost of a larger vehicle and they also provide grants to help with driving lessons. The voluntary income Motability raise helps a small group of 5,000 customers who are the most vulnerable on the Motability Scheme. These people would not be able to enjoy the personal motability they deserve without Motability's help.

Peel Tower is 128 feet (39 m) high, so with little abseiling experience, will pose an interesting challenge (especially for someone a little terrified of heights)

So please give as much as you can.

Thank you for your support.

Vicky and Rachel
