Personal message:

I'd like to raise a toast to Niall and James who started the Atlantic Rowing Race on Tuesday 4th December 2007. They will row for 3000 miles from La Gomera to Antigua and compete against 21 other boats for first place...and hopefully a record of under 39 days. Therefore I propose that everyone should buy Niall and James a drink - be that a lime and soda or a bottle of champagne, a drink to share, or a drink each (splash out!) - by donating money for the price of your chosen drink to Pan Atlantic via this webpage, and by stating the desired tipple in the comments box for all to see. Niall and James will then receive these drinks when they reach dry land sometime mid January!*+ 

This generosity will not affect your bank balance, and yet if everyone was able to donate a drink we could raise well over £500 to surprise them for when they land.

So think about it....while you are celebrating Christmas and New Year, Niall and James will still be rowing....while you go to all those Christmas work do's and have a great time, Niall and James will still be rowing...while you are in bed sleeping and recovering from all the festivities, the boys will still be rowing....and when you go back to work after and it reaches the middle of January, Niall and James will STILL be ROWING!!

Buy them a drink NOW!! They DESERVE IT!!! (Plus have rowed 3000 miles for 39-55 days in order to get it!)

P.S Be inventive...

*Disclaimer: Obviously this will be a virtual tipple, they won't actually be able to drink it, but they'll appreciate it just the same, if not more! (It also won't matter if it's not their favorite drink, therefore don't be put off if you wouldn't normally go drinking with either of them!)
+Please do not expect them to return the favour and buy you a drink as this would defeat the object!
