Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On Sunday 10th August I'm doing the London Triathlon (Olympic distance) in aid of The Green Belt Movement. The race consists of 1.5K swim followed by a 40K bike ride then a 10K run.
As I do this I'll be spurred on by the thought of all the trees that will be getting planted, thanks to your support and my aching muscles, so please dig deep and help me achieve my target. The Green Belt Movement -http://www.greenbeltmovement.org/ - is a fantastic organisation founded by an extraordinary woman - Wangari Maathai - "It's the little things citizens do. That's what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees". [40 million trees across Kenya and counting…]
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Green Belt Movement International will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. And anyone who’s around on 10th August in London, come down and enjoy the spectacle;
“Taking place around the ExCel Centre, the Docklands setting is idyllic on a sunny summer weekend, and the Thames hopefully not too cold for the brave athletes. It's a great spectator event too, with the chance to see some of the fittest sports people do battle across three gruelling disciplines”
