Sound tempted?  Well I was so I have signed up to take part in the 2009 Inner Mongolia Horse Trek to raise funds for the British Horse Society.

The British Horse Society (BHS) is the UK's largest and most influential membership equine charity working for every horse and rider.  Over the last 60 years the BHS has been actively involved in areas such as welfare and breeding, access and rights of way, horse and rider safety, approved riding schools and livery yards, examinations, training and competitions.

The BHS challange rides are billed as "a challenge not to be missed and never to be forgotten."  In July 2009 I will spend 10 days in Inner Mongolia, 5 of which will be trekking on Mongolian Horses across approximately 220 kms of grassland and spending up to 7 hours a day in the saddle.
