Rachel Podolak is, of course, best known as a devoted BMA employee and East London socialite. But on Thursday 12 November she will leave her day-to-day life behind to perform as Amy Winehouse in ‘BMA Idol’. Rachel (25) says:
“I’ve always had two dreams in my life. One was to provide high quality policy advice to BMA committees. The other was to raise shedloads of money for a brilliant charity by performing on stage to a roomful of drunken colleagues.
“I’ve realised the first - please help me achieve the second.”
Rachel will be joined on stage by the Winos - the talented and glamorous backing vocalists Natalie Breeze and Jo Attwooll. They aim to raise £500 for COSMIC - which provides life-saving equipment for critically ill children.
