Story

Thanks for your interest in my sponsored head shave!

My chosen charity is Dying Matters - a campaign which aims to raise awareness and change public knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards dying, death and bereavement.

Death is a taboo subject for many people, in fact only one in ten of us have talked to anyone about how or where we would prefer to die.  In my experience it can be a really good thing to find a way to talk about these things with family and friends.  It can make all the difference if the unexpected happens.

Mostly I am hoping my head shaving will raise some awareness for Dying Matters, but if you feel like sponsoring me I will certainly appreciate your support, and your donation will go to a cause that I think is well worth supporting.  I'm doing this with my friend Rebecca who is raising money for very good causes too - see her page here.  Thanks very much!

Just Giving also want me to mention this:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
