Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 14 February 2013

Hull & East Yorkshire Medical Research Centre (Daisy Appeal) opened in 2008. The charity built the Jack Brignall PET-CT Scanning Centre in 2014. In 2024 we built a Molecular Imaging Research Centre to produce PET CT tracers. We are fundraising for a £3m digital scanner to help save more lives.

Story

On the 8th of June 2013, a team made up of staff members from Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals Radiology Department are attempting to walk the 24-mile Yorkshire 3-peak challenge.

We are doing this in order to raise funds for the "Daisy Appeal", which is a local charity established to help improve treatment and research opportunities in a variety of common diseases, most notably cancer and heart disease. Phase 2 of the appeal is now under way and is aiming to raise £6.6m, in order to purchase PET-CT scanning equipment.

Please support our challenge and help us raise funds for a very worthy cause!
