The Bath Chronicle is working with businesses, residents and schools to support a Bath charity, The Kenyan Orphan Project. This charity helps look after orphans in Kisumu, a city in western Kenya. These boys, many of whom are very small children, live on the streets, sleep under trees, and regularly suffer violence and sexual abuse. Any small money they have collected is often stolen from them. Even the police will use tear gas to get them out from the sewers they are hiding in, and beat them in an effort to move them on. These boys need somewhere safe to sleep and The Bath Chronicle is running a fundraising campaign to raise as much as possible of the £80,000 needed to build them a night shelter. Please dig deep and help these children sleep soundly.
