Jack Brown is the 5 year old son of two London Police Officers.  Jack has Neuroblastoma.  the British National Health Service cannot provide and will not pay for Jack's treatment.  So, Jack's Dad and Mom have left home, jobs and country to seek treatment for Jack.  They and their three kids are living in a single room in a Ronald McDonald house in New York City while Jack receives treatments at Sloan-Kettering.

But none of this is cheap.  The cost of this treatment is $750,000.  Police officers from all over the globe are raising money for Jack.

To learn more about Jack and his progress during this treatment just log into his website at: http://www.jackbrownappeal.org

I know that Jack is being very brave.  I also know that Jack will lose his hair from the chemotherapy.  I want Jack to continue to be brave and to know that is is O.K. - even "Cool" - to be bald for a while.

Originally I challenged you all to help me raise at least $500 by May 1, 2007.  I promised that if you would do this that I would let me fellow officers shave my head to show my support for young Jack.  But then the fire fighters from my town matched the challenge.  They  pledged an additional $500 match if you guys will come up with $500 by June 1, 2007!

Well, we have done it!  You and I came up with $500 and the "Smoke Eaters" of my town have matched that with another $500!

And so, the "deed" will be done this weekend and the lads and I will send a photo to Jack next week.  I will also attempt to post a copy of the "after" photo on this website for your viewing amusement.

My heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you who have helped me to raise this small bit of support for Jack and his family.

If you still wish to donate, please do so.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Jack Brown Appeal will receive your money faster if you donate online.

Many thanks for your support.
