Hello,
I'm still inspired by Africa Now Ethos of a 'hand-up' rather than a 'hand-out' and the things I have learnt from London's Black History Walks. However, last year I did not raise anywhere near enough awareness for my charity or my cause.
On 4th July '09 I joined a team of fund-raisers for Africa Now for my 1st Tandem Skydive and made this video http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=128147183377 or http://www.youtube.com/Minus1Kidney.
The following week I completed the British 10K London Run 2009 in an official time of 00:52:59 and took these pictures to share the experience http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=286770&id=134138025323.
As a side note, organ donation did not make me invulnerable to going splat. It was not a jolly and in keeping the the Ethos, I paid for the jump myself, so all the funds raised could go to providing people with a future of opportunity, by supporting their hard work and creativity. So for as little as £2 (+ Tax Bonus) you can make a difference and leave a message on this page.
Cheers
