I have just retured from two weeks volunteering with dental project peru.

I had the most amazing time and would recommend anyone thinking of doing any type of voluntary work especially for Dental Project Peru to go for it, it is the most rewarding and amazing experience ever!

We flew to cuzco and spent some valuable time adjusting to the altitude change. We then packed up the trucks and headed off for our ten hour journey along the most beautiful routes to the Apurimac.

We spent three days in two different villages working at health posts providing emergency and restorative dental care.

I also got to visit local communities applying flouride varnish to the childrens teeth and oral health education was given. Each patient received a new toothbrush.
