Story
Right, this is it! My fourth attempt at the Cardiff Half Marathon. Most of the time the fourth in the series are rubbish (Terminator, Alien, Indiana Jones), but occasionally they're awesome (Rocky and Rambo - always trust Sly) ,so it could go either way. Last year I did it in 1:52:01 (that one second was when I milked a celebration over the finish) and this year I'm aiming for a 1:40 in order to beat the family record my Dad set when he was in his mid-30s, which'll learn him good.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, over the last two years I've raised over £800 for SOS Africa, which my company Future has matched, meaning together we've contributed over £1,600 for a great charity! So if the idea of a balding, slightly overweight 24-year-old getting horribly out-of-breath for the best part of two hours makes you all giggly inside, have a heart and dig deep!
The following is the generic stuff from JustGiving which tells you about your donations:
"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
If you could spare whatever you can, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for being so awesome!
Peace, love and Whitesnake
