My story

 

Reflections Nursery in Worthing, West Sussex is supporting a charity project from July 2007 to July 2009 to raise £20,000 to build and equip a pre-school for 270 children in Ghana through Plan UK, a registered charity supporting under-privileged children worldwide.  

 

This project aims to provide access to good quality childhood care and development in the Dalanyiri community of Ghana’s Upper West Region – one of the poorest areas of the country.  

 

We raised £2,000 in July 2007 from the sale of children’s artwork in the nursery as part of the West Sussex Artists & Makers Festival. Other future fundraising activities will include a Pier-to-Pier sponsored walk in October 2007 covering the 13 miles from Brighton to Worthing. And a major even in 2008 will be our May Ball.
