Baby Bobby Brown in Orford, Bobby was born blind on 3 March and later Alder Hey Hospital diagnosed him with ‘Peter’s Anomaly’ - an incredibly rare cornea abnormality in both eyes. Bobby is the 2 baby in history to have this condition.
Bobby’s greatest chance of sight is an operation to implant artificial corneas”. “The only Doctor able to do this is based at the Rochester Medical Centre in New York”.
Baby Bobby now has the chance of sight. On Thurs 16th April Baby Bobby along with mum & dad flew out to New York for the operations costing £50,000!
The work doesn't stop yet though! Now the £50,000 has been paid money is still needed to cover the 'after-care costs for Baby Bobby.
****Bobby had his 1 eye operation on Fri 24 April and we’re told it went very well. His 2 eye will be operated on Tues 28April.
