      Ok I need your help …. There is this amazing charity called The Olive Tree and it is an independent cancer support centre based at Crawley Hospital. They provide a drop-in centre, complementary therapies, counselling, information and support for cancer patients and their carers and families. 

       

       Chloe xxxx 

      I am going to shave my head to a number 2 .. I can't believe i'm doing this…… In order to raise money and hopefully awareness of this amazing charity. They are there when you most want it and they help to make an awful, tragic, life changing experience that little bit more bearable and easier to cope.  

      I would like to put a big shout out for Revive Hairdressers in West Green… they have kindly donated their time and efforts into shaving my head for free… Thank you so much!!!!! 

       I was only young when my lovely Nanny Flo passed away from Cancer and I still remember how I felt and the impact it had on my family and if The Olive Tree was there then I am sure it would have helped all of us to get through this awful time. I shall be videoing the event and will update my page with this. Please please please share this link with all your friends and loved ones who may have been impacted by Cancer and appreciate the need for places such as The Olive Tree.... Thanks so much in advance for any donations that you can spare and know it's going to a great place.  

      A little bit about The Olive Tree…..

      Formerly known as the cancer self-help group Crawley Cancer Contact, the group was co-founded in 1990 by Heather Goodare and others, and was granted charitable status in 1992. 

       Thanks to our many supporters, we were delighted to open in our own premises in 2004, and look forward to welcoming you to our centre.

       The Olive Tree is an independent cancer support centre based at Crawley Hospital. We provide a drop-in centre, complementary therapies, counselling, information and support for cancer patients and their carers and families. 

      Please dig deep for this truly great local charity and make my new cut seem more bearable!!!!!

       

       

      *The big hair day will be taking place on Saturday 3rd March 2012, 11.30 am at Revive hair and beauty salon in West Green. Anyone who has sponsored me or wishes to come down and watch the big chop then they are more than welcome :) would also like to say a massively big thankyou to all those amazing people who have donated to my chosen charity! Lots of love!*

      The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre

      The Olive Tree is a local cancer support centre serving Sussex and Surrey. We are the only centre in the area and are entirely run by volunteers. We offer counselling, complimentary therapies, support, advice and act as a key point of contact for cancer patients, their families, carers and children.
