Hi all! 

 Despite the appalling weather, the "Himalayan Highlights" evening went really well on 6th February.  All 80 tickets for the event were sold - at only £2.50 each, which  included a fork supper and glass of wine.  Nevertheless, because it was supplemented by a raffle and bar, and due to people's wonderful generosity, we raised a further £216 that night!  The amount actually forwarded to TLM to date is £5,187 but that figure does not include Gift Aid, where appropriate.

I'll be doing a repeat showing at Worton Village Hall, and in the skittle alley of Potterne's "George & Dragon" on 6th and 27th March at 7.30 pm respectively, and other bookings are coming in. 

People have been amazingly generous, not only with their donations but also with their own stories about Nepal and the Himalayas.  The lady in the picture is one of many being treated at TLM's hospital at Anandaban, a few miles outside Kathmandu, where patients are not only treated for the disease, but are also encouraged to become self-supporting when they leave there.  The trek was a roller-coaster of emotions, as you can imagine -  a truly life-changing experience.    Thanks to TLM for making it possible.
