Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is a picture of Everest that my Mum took whilst visiting Nepal earlier this year. I am not climbing Everest however....
After months of vigorous training (?), on July 17th and 18th 2010, myself and 15 of my desk-monkey colleagues will be stretching our legs and hauling ourselves up the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales completing the Three Peaks Challenge. In the space of 24 hours we will be climbing up and driving between Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
I am doing this to appease the mountain walkers in my life (of which there are many!) but more importantly, we are doing this to raise money for CLEFT is a charity which aims to research the unanswered problems in improving care for children born with cleft lip and palate. They aim to push the boundaries of conventional treatment by funding research into improving operating techniques and by looking at the underlying reasons for cleft deformities. Getting treatment for a cleft lip and palate isn't always easy - but it should be. A simple operation at 6 months old only takes 1.5 hours - 3 hours and it can transform a child's life, so that they can live a completely normal life.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure (I know this having sponsored my Dad for too many marathons). Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Thank you for reading my page. Please donate and send messages of inspiration.
