Update: On Wednesday 9th October, 24 members of the RRG (clinicians, scientists and students) and 3 patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis cycled a 100 mile relay to raise money for ARUK. Collectively, they cycled a total of 243 miles in 8 hours - quite an achievement. The team did an amazing job - a huge thanks to all involved.

We are cycling a continuous 100 mile relay on Wednesday 9th October to raise money for Arthritis Research UK.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the joints. It is the second most common form of arthritis in the UK, affecting around 400,000 people in the UK.

The Rheumatology Research Group at the University of Birmingham is committed to researching Rheumatoid arthritis to improve clinical outcomes for those with, and at risk of developing, rheumatoid arthritis.

The following people will be cycling 9 mile laps of the route in groups of 2-4 people:
