'Ribbon In The Sky' is a charity formed by a group of six boys who are in their first year of A-levels at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School. We are trying to raise our total sum of £3500.00 on behalf of The Wings Of Hope Charity.
You may be wondering where this figure came about from. As you can see from our picture we are raising money for a school in India and the distance around India is 7000 miles. I have measured around the map and every £1 donated equals 2 miles on our map. We aim to have a ribbon going all the way around the map hence our team name. Our team knows that this figure is ambitious but we are certain that with support from everyone this figure is achievable.
To give you, as a donater, an incentive to donate we will be doing a fund raiser, namely a 'sleeping rough and sponsored fast challenge.' This means we will sleep out on the streets on one cold December night and fast for a whole 24 hours. The reason for this is because the children in India who suffer from poverty are deprived of comfortable living conditions and nutrition, which 'Ribbon in the Sky' will experience as a group.
We have now completed this sleeping rough on the 22nd of December.
