Hola Amigos!!!

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
---------------------------------------------------
UPDATE:
Monday (T +1Day): Its all done!!!! I managed to finish it...I have to admit from mile 19 onwards... was very very tough!!!. But thinking about all those who sponsored me... the commitment to them and to Livability... stopping wasn't an option. I walked for a couple of miles but I tested what Tony Robbins says "When you feel you can't, YOU MUST" and that is what I kept repeating myself... and once had a glimpse of London Eye... leaving behind all the fainted people...and exhausted ones on the roadside... I said....this is it!!! I am going to finish this thing!!!... Here I am writing my last update with a HUUUUUUUUUGE smile on my face... feeling very accomplished!!! It was well worth it.... it was for a great cause and it brought together a lot of people... more importantly ... the money raised will help those with disabilities!!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT... fromt the bottom of my heart!!!

Friday (T -2 Days): Went to collect my number at the exhibition center and it was quite an emotional moment. This is it!!! I was very encouraged to see hundreds and hundreds of other runners... and more importantly very very proud to taking part in this huge event... because... the london marathon is huuuuuge!.... Very happy to see the fundrasing again reaching the 2K and I THANK YOU again....for your kind generosity. Last I just had pasta for starters and another dish of pasta for Mains...with half loaf of bread......HHHHmmmmmbbbbbbbb!!! phoooooaaaaaaa!!

Thursday  (T -3 Days): Started my Carboloading Diet and its weird. I have been eating very healthy for the last 9 months...now I have to pig it on pasta, pasta, pasta, potato, potato, pasta, rice, pasta, potato, bread, pasta and bread. 'Imagine the bloating'. Have to relax and be a couch potato (literally). Apparently this is the energy that will power 75% of the race.... and hopefully the whole 100%.

Monday (T - 6 Days): PreMarathon week, acording to my plan I have to eat a lot of protein to nurture my muscles and give it strenght... so it is Protein Loading 'til Thursday.... and I have my last three small runs before the big day. So its quite emotional actually... all the hard work training is coming to an end.

Monday (T - 3 weeks): I've busted the first target! So why not bust another one! That is what is all about! This means more people can benefit from this through Livability. I am really touched by everyone's generosity and I THANK YOU all. Good news is that there are a lot of people still pending and to those I THANK YOU in advance!!!

Eeeehhhhhhhh?, oooohhhhhh?, whaaaaat?, Queeeee??
That is probably the question you might be asking yourself. Ricardo doing this??? Yes me!!!

It was last year when I decided to do something radical to change my life and hopefully to influence the life of others. I was at peak state and was asked to commit to something big, to a big dream (at the end of the day dreams can become a reality only if ONE has the will and vision to make them real). Then I had to think of something big that could become my testing lab.

Then I commited myself to run the London Marathon (26 miles), I am not a runner, I am not a fan of fitness and I was a very lazy guy. This is way way outside my comfort zone.... but I thought: "If I make this happen... then I can make a lot of things happen".

Now you must be thinking... great! So what!

Here is the story where you play a big part:

I have signed up to raise funds for Livability, a charity doing an amazing and fantastic work with disabled people and I feel honoured to be running for them.

So the deal is this:
If you are reading this page it is because you probably know me. If you do then you know how hard I've been working over the last 7 months on this goal. So it is not about me.. it is about the people YOU will be helping through ME, so I ask you to support all my efforts which will go to a very good cause AND with your backing on this journey it will mean a lot to me... I truly mean it.

YOU PUT THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO ARE DISABLED  - I PUT THE SWEAT, ENERGY, CALORIES, MUSCLES and COMMITMENT TO DEFY THE ODDS
(that's a pretty good deal isn't it!!)

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Livability gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now, I will be very grateful to count with your support.

Regards

Ricardo
