For those of you that don't know me, I am a little bit chubby/overweight and don't do running very well! But, by September 2013 I will take part in, and complete, the Great North Run.  That is my promise to you and a promise I've made to my daughter.

As many of you may know, my Dad was diagnosed with Acute Myleoid Leukaemia and sadly passed away in January 2010.  Then, on 15th December 2012,  my little princess Neve, who's 4, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and is bravely fighting this with the help of the amazing advances made in understanding and treating this disease.  My mission now is to raise awareness and funds for research into this blood cancer, which has affected my family in so many ways.  If I can help to make a difference and raise funds towards research and improving treatments, I will. 

This race, and the training behind it will not be easy, but Neve’s bravery will spur me on. I know all too well that every pound I raise really will make a difference to families like mine, and therefore I really would be extremely grateful for your donations.
