30+ Serco Solutions staff will be running the 13.1 mile route which passes by the entrance to Laburnum House at around the 7 mile marker. Those of you who live in Birmingham, please come out and support your colleagues, especially those that are running in this kind of event for the first time. For those who cannot make it in person, don't despair! You donations can really make a difference and I would ask you to be generous. If you are prepared to have the Gift Aid added, we really can help. Our chosen charity is the Helen's Trust Charity (see below).
Helen's Trust aims to help people with an incurable illness to stay in their own home.
The Trust will endeavour to fund whatever it takes to achieve this aim, for example: nursing care, sitters, help to run the house, care for others living in the home, equipment or complementary therapy.
This is how Helen's Trust made a difference to a local man and his wife:
