Story

We did it!  On Saturday 18 September and Sunday 19 September we raced (over 15hrs29mins - finishing 267th) 109miles across Scotland, coast to coast, by bike foot and canoe, and with your help we have so far managed to raise a mightily impressive amount of money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Caring Matters Now.  Thank you.  We mean it.

As for the race itself, it was painful.  It rained almost constantly, it was mostly through mud, lots of people dropped out, it was cold, uphill, wet, and there was nowhere, nowhere, to stop for tea or crumpets.  We will complain :-)

Thank you, again, for your donations.  Your money really will make a difference to the lives of a huge number of very poorly children.  This site will remain open for dontations for a while so feel free to encourage friends and family to have a flutter.

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides critical medical care to hundreds of children every day.  Caring Matters Now deals specifically with children suffering with Congenital Melanocytic Naevus, a rare skin condition which can lead to various medical complications.

Both charities do brilliant work, and both have, in the last couple of months, provided help and support to the new born baby girl of close friends of ours during what has been a very difficult time for them all.

Please, please, help if you can. Your donation, however small, is hugely appreciated.  Donations will be split 70% to GOSH and 30% to CMN.
