Thank you for visiting my LionHeart fundraising page !

As part of my RICS matrics London Chairwoman's year (2008-2009) I  am delighted to be taking part in the fundraising challenge for charity and have decided to focus my efforts to support LionHeart and Macmillan Cancer Care Support by undertaking the London to Paris bikeride from 17-20 June 2009. This means I will be covering 317 miles in just 4 days!!! I've clearly gone mad - but with such worthwhile charities to raise money for I'm determined to succeed!

LionHeart is a charity set up for current members and past members of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and their families. This is financial and moral support when either the member or their relative is recently bereaved,  going through redundancy, had a sports/accident injury and the like.

Macmillan Cancer Care Support is there to give support to those suffering from Cancer related illnesses and their families.

To learn more about my causes and how your support will help, please visit: www.lionheart.org.uk and www.macmillan.org.uk

Cycle training has been rigorous and is going well. I started in January, just before the snow! So in rain, hail, sleet, snow and shine I've been peddling away ever since then  - even a spot of cycling with a fellow cyclist on the trip in the Chiltern Hills .   I never thought I would manage 10, 14 and 20% hills up or down in my life, not  least by cycling !

As we head into April I'm now cycling 10miles on Monday evenings, 15-20miles on Wednesday and Friday evenings along with 45-50 miles on the weekend.  There are now only 8 weeks to go and the first part of the journey will mean  87 miles  in one day from Blackheath in London to Dover ! Avoid the M25 that day!!!

I know times are hard, but it would mean so much to me personally and the charities I'm slugging away for if you are able to make a contribution at any level you can provide. Every single penny really does make a difference.

I've paid for the trip myself so every penny will indeed go to the Charities !

Please sponsor me now and give yourself a lovely happy glow and I'll show you the photos at the end !
