St Monica's RC Church is in desperate need of a significant renovations. Built in 1967, the temporary structure was supposed to last for three years. 42 years later it's still our main place of worship for a community that has significantly increased in size. Our aim is to renovate the church providing fundamental necessities like disabled access and toilets, a narthex where people can meet away from the main church, a larger church to provide additional seating for the congregation (some of which has to stand at the back during mass) and to provide proper facilities for a community gathering place.
To this end Denis, Tom, William and myself are embarking upon a Ride to Rome. Approximately 2000km (depends upon how many times we get lost on the way!) in 3 weeks. Just a bit shorter distance than Le Tour in approximately the same timeframe. We need your support and every donation will go towards renovating St Monica's.
