Hello to Family and Friends everywhere
Welcome to my fundraising page! I’ve decided to do the Womens’ Hyde Park 5km run on Sunday 7th September.
I am fundraising for a wonderful charity called ActOne ArtsBase. They offer artistic opportunities to young people, disabled and non-disabled, in Hertfordshire. My friends daughter, Susannah, who has Down’s Syndrome and Autism, joined their dance class at the start of the spring term this year and already she has appeared on stage at the Campus West Theatre in Welwyn Garden City. She was really in her element, so much in fact that they had trouble getting her off the stage! Susannah has no speech so dance gives her an opportunity to express herself in her own very special way.
The staff at Act One are very welcoming and experienced at working with young people of all abilities. They are a small local charity and they try to keep fees low to enable more young people to benefit. A lot of their income comes from fundraising. Your contribution, large or small, will therefore make a real difference in enabling ActOne to provide opportunities for more young people with and without disabilities to take part in art and dance.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Act One ArtsBase will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. I really appreciate it.
With best wishes
Rita.
