Milton Keynes & Leeds Half Marathons · 10 March 2013

We are the only UK charity dedicated to providing support and information to anyone affected by cardiomyopathy. We rely entirely on donations, and are working for prompt diagnosis, information and treatment to save lives and improve quality of life. Be part of #teamcardio and help save lives.

Story

I'm running two half marathons, The 10k Total Warrior obstacle run in August, The Skipton Triathlon in September, The Yorkshire Marathon in York in October and The Leeds Abbey Dash in November.

My friends Darren & Sarah & their son Marty are the reason I have chosen The CMA for my charity on this occasion.

Sarah's unborn baby Marty was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at 23 weeks and doctors told her he was unlikely to survive until birth.

But Marty is now a happy and lively little boy and doing well under the care of cardiomyopathy experts at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Sarah said “When the condition was first diagnosed our family was thrown into a world of fear and the unknown. The Cardiomyopathy Association provided essential information and support that was second to none. Now I want to thank the charity and help them to help other families like us in the future"

Help me support this great cause that has supprted two good friends of mine.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support.
