i'm taking part in this years great north run ( dodgy knee & bad back permitting ! ) with the sole aim of raising as much money as i possibly can for our very own sunshine fund ..... good times  

i know times are tough at the minute, so all i'm asking for really, is that people sponsor me no more than £2, as i've already raised the bulk of the minimum target money required through the generous sponsorship of a few companies i do business with & from all of the managers right here in manufacturing, so anything extra i can raise over the £300 will be a massive brucie bonus !!

while this will be my very first attempt at doing the great north run, as you may have guessed from my picture i am a very experienced long distant runner, having won the 1st annual jarrow marathon in march this year, the money i raised from that race enabled my old comprehensive school to embark on a multi-million pound rebuilding program, ensuring that thousands of children for years to come will be able to study in a state of the art facility, mainly thanks to me * ... so rest assured ladies & gentlemen you will be backing a winner by sponsoring me
