Hello!!!! My name is Rob Browning, and I am a student from London. I've always wanted to do something for the BBC Children In Need appeal, so this year I thought I'd make that a reality.

Basically, on Saturday November 7th 2009, I am going to have my head shaved and my body to boot.

For those of you who don't know CiN, their mission is "to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK". 

The money they receive goes towards providing "support in the form of grants to organisations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect."

But they need money to do these wonderful things, which is where you and I come in.

The main CiN event is on the 20th November 2009, but I'm doing my fundraiser on Saturday 7th November 2009 - any pledges would be greatly appreciated, as there's not much point me doing it if no-one's going to donate.

I will be posting updates on my YouTube page (www.youtube.com/strangebob2007) where I will confirm what the date and time will be, donation updates and whether I'm actually going to do it live online (if I don't, I will also be posting the video of the process on that account), so please keep checking back! :)

It's a bit of fun, and disadvantaged children are helped because of it, so please, be generous and donate what you can.
