My Granny has Glaucoma and she needed two operations to save her sight. She was able to have these operations and her vision is now stable but wishes to make sure that as many people as possible have access to the screening that is necessary to detect and prevent this degenerative condition as soon as possible. She asked me if I would do an event for her to raise money for this charity. I decided to sign-up for this bike ride and get some sponsorship for it. The chosen charity for this bike ride is the Oast House Trust so I am bucking the trend a biut in chosing a different charity. However, personally I'd sooner save people's sight than oast houses (much as I love oast houses coz they help produce BEER!) :-)

Even a few pounds would be wonderful.
