We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Story

Well...I'm running London again-after saying "never again" as I crossed the line last year, I am pleased to be able to raise funds for Beating Bowel Cancer.

Thank you for your generosity.

Bowel Cancer continues to be the second largest cause of cancer deaths in the UK- 1 in 18 people will receive a bowel cancer diagnosis during their lifetime-and awareness of the disease is still worryingly low. This form of Cancer is very treatable if diagnosed early enough.

I knew nothing about Bowel Cancer until my wife, Lynn, was diagnosed in August last year. The last few months have been an emotional rollercoaster-Lynn has remained incredibly positive - she even did  both the Great North and Great South Runs at the end of last year whilst on chemotherapy and  hopes to do the New York Marathon at the end of this year !

Please dig deep and help me raise funds for the charity.- you know you can afford it!

You might want to make it even more interesting by sponsoring me an amount plus a bonus donation depending on my time-I ran in 3 hours 59 minutes last year and would be delighted if I could beat that time.

Thanks so much

Robert
