We're taking part in the Great Manchester Run to raise money for The Ear Trust.
Since 2007 my daughter Grace has received first class support from The Ear Trust and has learnt to listen again after being left profoundly deaf by meningitis.
The Ear Trust has designed a new, purpose-built facility, the Yorkshire Listening for Life Centre. This will be the first centre of its kind in the UK. Over the next year it's looking for an additional £300,000 to complete the development.
The Listening for Life Centre will ensure that the Yorkshire Cochlear Implant Service has one of the country’s best equipped facilities to work in, serving communities across Yorkshire and the North. It will also enable the Ear Trust to continue its work of supporting deaf people, cochlear implant recipients, their families and professionals working with them.
