Football and sport have the power to inspire, to unite and make a difference. Kick4Life uses this potential to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the world. Kick4Life's flagship programme is based in Lesotho, a country that has been devastated by AIDS. 23 percent of the population is infected with HIV and more than 100,000 children have been orphaned by the disease. Just £10 will test a child for HIV, proper pre and post-test counselling and give them the referral for life-changing treatment should they test positive; all done in the atmosphere of a football tournament/fun day. My employer (Bloomberg) will match every single donation so giving £20 is effectively a donation for £45 (including gift-aid).
