Update:  Skate is now complete!   Anyone who promised to sponsor me before the skate can still do so here until the middle of August.  Thanks to all who sponsored me.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  By the 17th June, I will have been inline skating for just 10 months so skating 54 miles in a day should be one hell of a challenge for me.   Basically I'm going to join a bunch of cyclists (and a few skaters) on the London to Brighton bike ride (http://www.bhf.org.uk/link.asp?urlID=3297).  I'm not supporting BHF who are the official sponsors of the bike road mostly because I couldn't find them on the list of charities when I created this page so instead I'm supporting Médecins Sans Frontières who provide emergency medical aid in the developing world .

I'm not officially registering for the event as the event registration is full and because the event is strictly speaking for cyclists so instead I'm going to turn up early so as to not get in the way at the start and I will donate the £28 registration fee to charity.

I do not intend to do it in fancy dress (I'm going to be hot and sweaty enough as it is) and if it rains I won't skate as the hills will be way too dangerous (but I'll try and find something else crazy to do instead).

Note:  If you don't want to donate online for some crazy reason I have a paper sponsorship form that you can sponsor me on...
