As some of you may know, I have signed up to run the London Marathon in 2009. And as almost all of you know, I have hardly been the peak of human fitness or dedication for most of my life. So you can all imagine how much of a foolish thing this is, and how much of a slog it going to be.

Rather than just doing this for my own punishment, I am running for a charity close to my heart, Severn Hospice. They are a hospice based in Shropshire who care for those with progressive illnesses across a broad age range. To find out more please go here
