I am swimming the English Channel (22 miles or approx. 10 -20 hours) in July which is considered to be one of the hardest open water swims in the world, through the horrible jellyfish, sewage, cabbages and yellow plastic ducks. Oh yeah! I forgot about the big boats!!!

I am attempting this feat not only as a personal challenge but also to help raise money in support of Winston's Wish, which supports children following the expected or sudden death of their mother, father, brother or sister.

I would really appreciate it if you would kindly donate to this very worthwhile cause and help raise as much as possible for the charity.
 

25/07/2007: I am down in Dover at the moment and waiting for the weather to straighten itself out and since the window opened last friday it is getting a bit frustrating.

05/08/2007: I Completed my channel swim on the 1st August in  time of 11 hours 1 minute. i was told that i was going to cross 2 and 1/2 hours before so the nerves didn't have time to come into it. I started the swim at midday and finished in the dark.
